More fan art from Tamora Pierce's Immortals, yayz! Okay, so this is a Stormwing, or an immortal that lives for the aftermath of battles. They're not big on the actual killing mind you; they just like playing with bodies afterwards and mocking the dead. They were created by a person who was sick of war, and who wanted to give people a reason to see why killing should not be done. Problem was, they got sealed away in the Realm of the Gods for several hundred years, so the people of the world forgot. When they're first released by Carthak's mages, Daine hates them and decides that they're all evil. After a while she comes to realize that it's just they're nature, and that they can't go against it. In fact she even befriends one (Lord Rikash) . . . but then, of course, he dies >>. Always happens.

Anyway. This is my rendition of one. The wings look funny because their feathers are made of steel. Yuppers.

I really like this picture. I used some techniques from an art book Mackee gave me. It took me two and half-ish hours to do.
